OUR CARIBBEAN CHRISTMAS

Christmas Day was the most beautiful ever. Our wonderful friends Carol and Greg invited us to have Christmas with them and their family on Shangri-la, their 65ft catamaran. We opened gifts in the morning and it was so special to open presents and read messages sent from home. We played the usual Christmas Carols which always make me a bit sad....but I was so happy to have all my children and Cass with us, that didn't last long!
A Happy Christmas!
We knew that Passion, the yacht Michaela used to work on, was in the area but what a wonderful surprise it was to see this magnificent yacht making it's way into our little bay early on Christmas morning. We called Grant, the captain, on the radio and wished him Merry Christmas and he couldn't believe we were there. They had the owners on board so took turns to come to see Michaela and wish us. Michaela was so happy to catch up with her old crew.

We had a magnificent spread of prawns, lamb, smoked pork, rum meatballs, chicken and and lovely assortment of salads for lunch, laid out on the deck. It amazes me what can be put together with so few resources in the middle of nowhere! We had far too many cocktails and swam, skied and SUP'd around the yacht on the most perfect, happy day and partied right into the night.
