Our house is sold, our flights are booked!! We're giving up all that is secure and safe in our lives.....to sail off into the sunset!! Scary, exciting, we're heading to the USA on 06 Aug 2013. Just when our lives become comfortable and life is easy, we are giving it all up for the unknown. We now have to find a job and loving home for our Winnie who has loved and raised our children for 15 years, find a home for our beloved 10 year old Border Collie, and make sure our parents, who have been living in our granny flat, are comfortable and happy. We cannot do this without Jethro, our scruffy little dog who doesn't know he is a dog. We have decided to take him along at a huge expense, but we cannot give up everything that is precious to us.
We've met with Dave, the headmaster from Camps Bay High School to discuss Tayne's homeschooling. We have decided to do a formal homeschooling method with Clonard for Gr 9. They will supply us with the full years syllabus before we leave, including the exam papers. We submit the exams for marking in two 18 week cycles so we're not bound to definite dates. Tayne will be admitted into Gr 10 on our return.
I have a book with a very long list of things to do, it seems a bit daunting at this stage but it will all come together in time I'm sure.
